Rainbow Week Calendars

"Rainbow Week" is your child's first calendar, giving pre-reading children information and understanding about their own lives.

Rainbow Week is unique in its circular shape, showing that time is cyclical, and in the fact that it is a simple and meaningful early reading tool. Your child will move naturally through matching, to identifying, to reading words as he/she uses their Rainbow Week calendar.

Rainbow Week 3+ and Rainbow Week 5+ include:

a 29cm circular wheel with over 100 attachable picture and matching word  magnets representing special events, everyday activities, school activities and people in a child's life.

The School Upgrade Pack offers just the school magnets (and matching words) to add your Preschool Set when your child starts School.

Both Rainbow Week sets include a zip lock wallet for magnet storage, and a comprehensive Parent Booklet to ensure that your child gets the most educational value from his/her calendar.

Rainbow Week also promotes numeracy skills, language development, organisation, independence and self esteem. Plus it gives parents a simple solution to those never-ending   “When am I going to..?” questions.

Rainbow Week has been used with success by parents and teachers with

Give Me Five! Reward Chart

Give Me Five!" is a simple magnetic Reward Chart that helps children develop in areas such as sleeping, eating, toileting, general behaviour and school goals. It is aimed at 3 to 8 year olds, and has also been used successfully with children with additional needs.

Give Me Five! is unique in that it has 25 visual rewards representing fun family activities (e.g. beach visit, flying a kite ) and 6 sets of fingertip magnets to enable parents and children to personalise it each time it is used.

The fingertip magnets include sets of toilets, beds and plates of healthy food, to further reinforce goals related to toileting, sleeping and eating, as well as other sets e.g dinosaurs and dolphins, to use when working on general behaviour and school goals.

Give Me Five is not a toilet training tool for very young children, who need to be developmentally ready for this to take place. It may, however, help to encourage the reluctant 3, 4 or 5 year old to “have a go!”.

Give Me Five is designed to be used for a short while.  It is meant to be the visual focus of a number of positive strategies used by parents to work on a certain issue. It is then packed away to be used at a later date, for a different child or another issue.

The comprehensive Give Me Five Parent Booklet ranges from answering the question “What is a reward chart?” to the basic Quick Start first page for those with previous experience.
